Studying Music Taster Days

These are free events that take place on a single day in Cambridge and are provided for academically able students from maintained sector schools and colleges.

What are they?

These days provide prospective year 11 and  year 12 students with a taste of what life as a Music student at the University of Cambridge would be like. Students will  experience the teaching methods used by university academics and gain an insight into the facilities available at the Faculty of Music, whilst meeting students from across the UK. Days include a sample lecture, a tour of a college, a practical session and a talk including a Q and A session with current undergraduates.

When are they?

The days run between 10.00am and 3.30pm. 

The Year 11 Taster Day will take place on:

  • Friday 28th February 2014

The Year 12 Taster Days will take place on:

  • Wednesday 19 February 2014
  • Friday 7 March 2014
  • Thursday 13 March 2014

Further Information/ Applications

There are 50 places for each event. Applications for places at the taster days are invited from school groups and individuals.

Please note bookings will close 1 week before the event, and places will be allocated to eligible students on a first come, first served basis.
