Visit to Mulberry 2

last modified Apr 22, 2014 04:10 PM
CaMEO visited to perform a variety of pieces for residents of Mulberry 2, at Fulbourn Hospital.

Throughout the year the CaMEO team have been to visit Mulberry 2 and 3 at Fulbourn Hospital, to share some live music and chat to the residents.

The recent visit to Mulberry 2 was very much enjoyed, with residents smiling, clapping and singing along to the CaMEO team’s performances. Suzie drew people in with her  mesmerising performance, both singing and playing her classical guitar. She shared a bit of background about some of the pieces and also the inspiration for her own compositions. She also asked the audience questions before starting each piece, which really helped to engage them and enable them to connect with her music.

Joe’s sax performance was also very well received, with him playing a selection of both classical and more modern arrangements, which even had one lady on her feet dancing!

Following the performances, they had a chance to chat to a few of the residents and share stories about their own experiences and favourite music, which made a lovely end to the afternoon.
