The Centre for Music and Science opened its doors for the day to provide an opportunity for school groups to experience this emerging area in musicological research. Groups from several local schools were invited to participate in a day full of hands-on activities, experiments, games, talks and demonstrations to unlock the science and psychology of sound.
Encouraging students to link their scientific and musical thinking was great, as was the chance for youngsters to talk to PhD students to see where they might aim”.
